Reaction Engines Ltd was created to design and develop advanced space transport and propulsion systems. By applying a combination of established physical principles and innovative engineering design, we intend to develop a range of products that will enable the commercial exploitation of space.

The directors so far nominated and the main shareholders of the company are:

• Alan Bond - Managing Director and Chief Technical Analyst
• Richard Varvill - Technical Director and Chief Designer
• John Scott-Scott - Engineering Director and Chief Development Engineer

These three engineers have 85 combined man-years of technical management experience in the high technology aerospace and nuclear industries.

In addition there are currently three non-executive directors:

• Anthony Evans - Corporate Strategy
• Dr John Garrod - Business Development
• Paul Portelli - Communications

The company is located at the Culham Science Center in Oxfordshire where it has offices and runs a heat exchanger research facility.
