Control Systems Internship (Summer Placement)

Reaction Engines is a UK-based company formed in 1989 to design and develop the technologies needed for a new class of innovative hypersonic propulsion system – the Synergetic Air-Breathing Rocket Engine (SABRE™).

The control and safety critical monitor systems for the demonstration engine will need to be integrated and tested during the summer next year. The work will involve wiring up sensors and real time computers, writing code to test them and running dynamic engine models. Several critical systems will be communicating with each other and this needs to be built in the lab and tested before it is deployed into the engine test site.
