Reaction Engines is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Digital Marketing and Events Associate to join our talented Marketing Team.

The Role



The Digital Marketing and Events Associate will work on our digital brand as well as promoting our diverse portfolio at international events and will play a crucial role in working to enhance our internal communications. A key player within our Marketing and Communications team, you will lead on developing and creating digital content for the website and social media, run our high-profile events, including responsibility for our STEM and outreach campaigns and be an integral part of the team leading our internal projects and communications portal.



 



To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate your experience within developing and managing successful strategies and have a strong understanding of online marketing concepts and best practices whilst keeping up to date on current trends. You will be able to lead integrated marketing campaigns including events, from concept to execution. You will have an excellent understanding of website analytics including Google Analytics and be comfortable working with WordPress and Intranets. You will be communications driven in your thinking.



 



We are looking for someone with the ability to harness the power of creating digital assets, to build campaigns, optimise our channels and take a proactive role in our busy and driven team.



 



Accountabilities and Responsibilities




  • Be the driving force behind creating and delivering digital assets, videos and animations for use across all platforms

  • Develop and implement effective social media plans incorporating events, recruitment, employer brand, technology, and our people

  • Develop and manage the content creation and reporting for the company website including SEO and all analytics

  • Own the video content strategy and proactively seek opportunities for video production for internal and external use. Proficiency in photo and video editing is desirable and the use of Adobe software packages, in particular PremierPro

  • Lead on the company’s photography requirements, taking responsibility for photo shoots of technology and our people and ensuring the website and social media channels are current

  • Organise and attend international events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and exhibitions

  • Coordinate our STEM and outreach events programme and ensure presentation collateral is current and available

  • Ownership for maintaining the internal communications platform and functional team pages within. Plan and write articles, research new ideas and engage in proactive internal communications with colleagues at all levels of the organisation

  • Fulfil the Marketing team administrative tasks including ordering merchandise, budget tracking and raising purchase orders

  • Liaise with multiple agencies on day-to-day tasks, managing collateral and print orders and status reports

  • Evaluate and review campaigns and SEO to make sure the correct mediums are being used and campaigns are effective

  • Act as project coordinator for the Marketing and Communications team, running a schedule of activities and agency requirements. Forward planning and ensuring all projects are delivered on time




  • Other activities as required in support of business activities and objectives

  • Establish develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies to ensure an integrated contribution to Reaction Engines’ corporate objectives

Experience



Essential




  • Experience of creating and implementing integrated digital marketing plans with proven results

  • Experience of working with WordPress and social media platforms

  • Experience of content creation and creative writing

  • Exhibition and event management

  • Experience of internal communications and the use of intranet systems

  • Photography and video production skills and a competency to learn software packages

  • Ability to turn technical information and data into engaging content across multiple platforms



 



Desirable




  • Technology, space industry experience is desirable but not essential

  • Second language is desirable although not essential

  • Experience of working internationally across a variety of cultures

  • Experience of working across all levels in a large organisation

  • Proficient in Adobe software packages. Experience of Premiere Pro is desirable (or other video editing software)

  • Qualified to Degree level 

  • Qualified or working towards Charted Institute of Marketing (CIM)

This role attracts a competitive salary and excellent company benefits including 28 days annual leave (increasing to 30 days after 2 years’ service) plus public holidays, employee share scheme, employer matching company pension scheme, life assurance and a contribution towards onsite nursery childcare for children under 3 years of age.  We also offer dynamic working where employees split their time working from home and from our office in Culham.



 



Salary: £30,000 to £35,000



Contract: Permanent



Working Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
