Senior Network and Infrastructure Administrator

Reaction Engines is seeking a Senior Network and Infrastructure Administrator to join a busy IT department working with the latest equipment and systems in a close knit team. The successful candidate will support users on both hardware and software applications as well as the IT infrastructure servers and network devices. Working with both physical and virtual systems the post-holder will be provided the ability to stretch their knowledge as well as enhance and gain new knowledge on the latest technology. The role will suit a skilled IT professional with experience of both servers and network switches looking for the opportunity to expand their experience technically especially in advanced networking and next generation firewalls.



Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities



·         Design & implement secure LAN & WAN networks



·         Support LAN and WAN networks including VPN



·         Provide 1st, 2nd & 3rd line  IT support to all REL users, including remote sites



·         Support end users on IT Systems within agreed SLAs



·         Provide solution(s)/work around(s) to incidents and problems



·         Provide exceptional Service support to the business



·         Work with a variety of business and technical teams to enhance service



·         Contribute to creation and improvement of polices, processes and procedures



·         Prioritising and managing several open cases and mini projects at one time



·         Work on larger projects in both networking and infrastructure, providing input on requirement, design and implementation



·         Secure, support & implement hardware and software and ongoing upgrades/updates



·         Setup & maintain Windows Desktops and Windows Servers (2012R2, 2016 virtual and physical)



·         Maintenance and monitoring of IT systems



·         Liaise with suppliers and ensure stock levels of key IT equipment



·         Setup and maintain PC Builds and deployment



·         Administer active directory (new users, leavers etc.)



·         Support devices such as IP phones, printers



·         Ordering, Returns, Warranty claims



·         Create and maintain IT documentation as required



·         Undertake specialist projects as required



·         Develop and deliver user training (Inductions, Workshops etc.)



·         Gather and produce reports on IT systems



·         Asset management (stock/inventory)



·         Microsoft Exchange administration



·         Administer backups and restores



·         Management of network switches and firewalls



Qualifications



·         At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role



·         Full, clean UK driver’s licence



·         Cisco CCNA (required) & CCNP (desirable) Routing and Switching



·         CompTIA, CCENT or similar



·         MCSE/MCSA



·         ITIL v3 (desirable)
